A Program for Parents

Learning that your child has a disability or chronic health need can be a traumatic experience. Parents have many questiions and concerns in coping with their child's needs and their own feelings. You are not alone. We have been there. Please, take a look at our online PowerPoint orientation program. You can click your way through the program by using your keyboard's right arrow. When you are through you can return to this page by using the backarrow on your browser.

Parents Helping Parents

Personal support from another parent who has a child with similar needs, can be helpful in coping with many challenging experiences and feelings. Helping Parent volunteers are available to provide support and information for other parents who and have completed a training program.
